"The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Office of Environmental Justice (OEJ) will make available $250,000 for Vital Brooklyn Green Jobs Training Grants ("VB Green Jobs Grant") to community-based organizations for job training programs in the green economy such as clean energy, green infrastructure, and urban agriculture (“programs”). Eligible applicants are community-based organizations having Not-For-Profit Corporation's (NFP) 501(c)(3) status, or a community-based organization may partner with a NFP that will serve as their fiscal sponsor. Grant applications must be developed and electronically submitted in the NYS Grants Gateway no later than 3:00 p.m. on July 20, 2018. The minimum and maximum amount an applicant may request ranges between $25,000 to $50,000. Matching funds are not a requirement under this grant opportunity.
