The New York State Hazard Abatement Board awards grants for programs that provide occupational safety and health training for public and private businesses, labor organizations, educational institutions, non-profit organizations and trade associations. Eligible programs must train and educate workers, supervisors and /or businesses and must promote workplace accident and injury prevention.
In addition to Grants Gateway registration, all non- governmental Not for Profit (NFP) applicants must be Prequalified at the time and date that the application is due, no later than 5:00PM (Eastern Standard Time) on February 9, 2018. If you are not Prequalified at that time and date, your application will not be considered. The Grants Reform help desk/hotline can be reached at (518) 474-5595. In keeping with this requirement, the Hazard Abatement Board shall not consider for funding any application from a non-governmental NFP which has a status other than one of the following at the time and date that the application is due:
o Document Vault Prequalified; o Document Vault Prequalified Open; o Document Vault Prequalified/In review; or o Document Vault Open for PQS Edits

Questions regarding this RFP will be accepted on an ongoing basis until Friday, January 26, 2018. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Answers to all questions will be posted on HAB’s website (https://www.labor.ny.gov/hab) on an ongoing basis until Wednesday, January 31, 2018.
