OCFS is pleased to announce the funding opportunity for Infant/Toddler (I/T) Regional Services. These services are described in this RFP for the purpose of awarding contracts to qualified not-for-profit organizations that demonstrate the ability to provide the services as described herein.
These services will be funded to address, on a statewide basis, the unique and special needs of the I/T population. Contracts will be awarded in each of the seven regions across the state. Lead agencies will develop and coordinate I/T services in partnership with OCFS. Lead agencies will be expected to collaborate with Child Care Resource and Referral Centers (CCR&Rs) within each of their corresponding regions. I/T Regional Services will be provided to promote an understanding of the importance of, and strategies for improving, the quality of care for infants and toddlers. Services will include providing technical assistance to providers on best practices in serving infants and toddlers, assisting providers in addressing issues that have been identified in their program(s) as of importance to the I/T population, working with providers as they develop new I/T care, promoting and facilitating child care staffing to obtain specialized training in serving the I/T population, and making available I/T information on best practices in various mediums to the child care provider community.
